Our trip on the TGV up through France to Paris was beautiful. We have figured out the metro and spent yesterday exploring the basilica of Saint Denis where all the Kings and Queens are buried, as well as the Palace of Versaille where they lived before they died! Oh the grandeur! Easy to see why there was a revolution... kids really enjoyed seeing the history there. Last night we were terrible parents and went to a jazz cafe... sans enfants! They were blogging at the hotel and the desk fellow, Jacques, told us he'd watch them for us... so we broke away for a few hours. The misic was good and it was to be out together! Today Veronique is going to be our tour guide and show us around her city... we check out in a few minutes and have two nights in the campgound in Bois de Boulogne... close to the Eiffel Tower! Then off to London on Monday morning and will try to check in from there.
Keith and Lu... a few travel tips as requested... eat gelatto every day in Italy... see the Leaning tower of Pisa as it was very charming... the little towns on the coast of Italy from the train north of Pisa looked amazing but we did not stop... Porquerolles;an island in the south of France is beautiful... Presqu'il de Giens campground was nice (mobil homes)good beaches, good wine, good cheeze and lots of... refer to the beaches. Arles is a really neat place, a taste of provence with beautiful fabrics Lu! Have a great trip you guys...

Thanks guys. Your blogs are amazing. SOOOOO fun to read. We are actually at YVR right now. 5 hours early for our flight to Frankfurt. do you think we are excited??? Can't believe we will just miss each other. Why don't you go home via Nice and we will meet you?????

I fınally have tıme to connect agaın wıth you all. Your trıp sounds absolutely amazıng. The Faırs and ourselves have now fınıshed our ıncredıble tour and are now stayıng ın Içmeler on the Medıterranean - ıt ıs quıet and beautıful - we each have our own apartment wıth a pool - ıt ıs goıng to be hard to leave. But leave we must, so on Monday Rob and I are leavıng for Greece whıle the Faırs head back to Istanbul.
