We are having a terrible time in the south of France... sandy beaches and hot sun! Ha! Our campground is wonderful and we are about a kilometer from the beach. Last Sunday morning we walked along the path, through the poppies and wildflowers that were exquisite. The sun was warm on our faces and the pink flamingoes were having their lunch in the salt marsh. We passed the winery and came to the beach which was dotted with a few umbrellas and sand as far as the eye could see. Just before arriving at the beach, the kids ran ahead and Jim whispered in my ear, "Please no naked women... for the first time in my life I am praying that there are no naked women on this beach!!!" We came out onto the sand and found Parker and Keona holding the frisbee, frozen in their tracks... their eyes bigger than the frisbee... needless to say Jim's wish didn't come true! Topless women everywhere! Welcome to the South of France!

We have spent every day at the beach this week and I have been forbidden to take off my bathing suit!!!

Yesterday we walked into the little village of Giens and took this photo from a garden at the top overlooking the beach we have been at... it was a spectacular view and we were very impressed with the village... so quaint and full of character.

Tomorrow we are heading to an island where there are no cars. We will rent bikes and tour the island on two wheels! It is supposed to be a beautiful island and wonderful beaches too.

Internet is very expensive here and our posts will not come frequently now... how much sand and Mediterranean Sea do you really want to see anyways! And naked women... some of them you really wouldn't want to see anyways!

We are all fine and enjoying a break from the historical ruins. Love to all.
